Hi,

Well I have heard your praise from these forums about that coolcases.com site, and well what do you think about me suggesting these mods to a full tower case such as the chenbro genie from that particular site? or any full tower case in particular that I could ask jim to mod? Actually which full tower would be better for a mod? i have like a 250$ budget for a case, so I dont want the mods to be too expensive, and would like a full tower with lots of air cooling.

Here are my intended mods to a full tower case...give any suggestions if you think them helpful...i also plan to get an enermax 450 since they seem to be very highquality.

Mods to full tower will be as follows:

(1) 120 mm intake fan in front of the full tower
(2) "Blowholes" on side of case, intaking air, over the agp, pci, and cpu....80 mm or 120?
(1) 80 mm or 120? exhaust fan at the back of the case close to cpu
(1) 80 mm exhaust fan above the power supply at the back of teh case
(1) 120 mm or 80? exhaust fan on top of the case near the drives, etc...
O and also if you want to know what will be in the system to need all this aircooling its gonna be:
TBird 850 (hopefully O/Ced to 1gig+)w/FOP38 or Alpha6035 w/ delta fan
Abit KT7 Raid
MushKin pc133 rev 2 CAs 2 ram
Raided 7200 rpm drives
Mitsumi CDRW
Hitachi DVDrom
Geforce 2 DDR(hope o/c it to 230/360+)
SBLive!
Somde DVD decoder card
10/100 NIC
and i plan to get a scsi setup going just for the fast startup and swap file like small 10k rpm drive with adaptec 29160 controller

Well give any suggestions if you have any, thanx

I picked up my FOXCONN full tower case for under $100 ...

got it from http://www.comready.com/

it has 6 5.25 bays and 6 3.25 bays ... wheels .. removable side panals ... and a 300 watt PS ...

the front has room for an 80mm case fan and at the top back there is room for 2 80mm case fans ...

i added a couple blowholes to it for my case (one in the back to expell air from by the CPU) and one on the side to bring in cool air for my SCSI drives ...

the PS has so far lasted me about 5 months with 2 full hight scsi drives ... 3 IDE ata66 drives ... a DVDrom and a scsi cdrom ... as well as a kt7-raid board (used to have bh6 w/ promise raid in it) .... and no power problems ...

my case temp stays within 2 degrees C of ambient temp usually
