Never tinkered with Linux before, and I have a few servers ready for an OS. So, I'm highly considering going with Linux for security purposes. I'm aware of the in depth learning curve regarding these OS's but I need to know what the absolute BEST version of Linux is for running a HUGE website.

Any advice, tips, or personal experiences are appreciated for post.

I don't think there really is a "best" version, and if you're new to it, running a "huge" website might be getting in over your head...

I'll agree with BBWF, there is no "best" version - just about any comes with an http server but if you want to run a "huge" website, i'd suggest you host it on a managed colocated server.

If you're planning on running something big and very important for the first time on Linux, and security is a concern, that's not a good idea. You only get great security if you know what you are doing, otherwise you may make some simple mistake and not be secure at all. That said, I reccomend spending some time learning. Maybe go with a colo for now and learn with whatever distro they're using?
