Nope, no removable standoffs - I was looking at the standoffs, and realized that the standoffs themselves are rotaing with the screw but not coming out - I can take out most of the screws, but there is 1 that I just can't get to; I made sure that the mobo is secure as it can, and I'm okay with that for now.
This problem is always why you use a needlenose pliers to tighten in the standoffs. Finger-tight is NOT enough, and results in that same problem when trying to remove the mobo screws. Trust me, I had to learn the hard way too.
 
You don't need an ODD for that since Windows 8 (and 7 for that matter) can be installed from USB. Here's how.

I knew that - well, I didn't know where to get the image online since I have the disc but not the ODD - but with a dead PSU at this time, it's a moot point :/

Right. Not looking forward to having to remove said screw if I do decide to upgrade sometime in the future.
