I have lots of digital photos I'd like to put onto DVD to play as a DVD movie. Of course I could do it in Premier by adding each photo manually and then putting transitions between them but really I'm looking for something were I can simply point to a directory and let it automatically create the disc. Any suggestions?

proshow gold

works great...you select all the photos, add them, then you can randomize all the transitions (they have 280 transition...some are pretty cool)

then you can drag in some mp3s for background music, add a title screen (with text effects)

it also has a 'panning' feature (ken burns effect) so you could zoom in on a part of a picture...scan over to another part, etc

then burn to dvd, vcd, whatever...

I use Memories on TV. I use Premier and if i am just doing a picture sequence I will often use Memories on TV then will have the program export it to MPEG2 then import it into Premier. There website is http://www.picturetotv.com . Proshow sounds feature wise sound similar to Memories on TV. Ill load up both and compair the to.

Cheers guys.

Last night I loaded up ProShow to compair with Memories on TV. Just a few thoughts.

Proshow
Gernerally the program gives you more options on just about everything.
It gives you transistion previews
The way that you can set panning across pictures
The Title effects that you can do

Memories on TV
Some of the transistion effects like Smoke are better
The ablility to output to TMPG to encode
If I am just doing a real fast job and just want to drop pictures in and drop a MP3 in and be done. By default it sets everything to random which may or maynot be a good thing.
