I've got a MSI geforce 2 GTS AGP video card, and recently I've been noticing when I play long sessions of seriously intense graphical games like Serious Sam 2, Jedi Knight 2, my computer will freeze up. I'm pretty sure its from the video card getting too hot because I have touched the heatsink on it after a session and its pretty warm. I know its heat related somehow, because if I give it a rest, I can play again for a while.
Anyway, I want to replace the crappy stock fan on the gefoce and I'm looking for suggestions. So far the crystal orb at 2cooltek looks pretty neat( http://2cooltek.safeshopper.com/51/cat51.htm?145 ), any other decent cooling sites with a selection of video fans, or video fan suggestions? I dont want to go all out, probably just get something that clips into the holes on the card, I have some thermal grease I can put on it instead of a TIM pad. Thanks!
BTW, I don't mind something thats larger than the AGP spec, the PCI slot next to it is essentially empty (just a couple USB ports from the Mobo so nothing near the position of the video chipset), and the one past it has a low profile card. Also, I'm not doing any overclocking of CPU or video card or anything else, I just want to keep things cool 🙂
