Any suggestions for a cheap and stable socket A motherboard? I don't need on board sound or video and I don't plan to overclock. This is for two family computers that I want to put together.

Is the ECS K7VZA any good?

Thanks, but those are still a little expensive ($111 is the cheapest on pricewatch).

The 1GHz tbirds look cheap right now so I'll probably get the 266 fsb version.

if you're going DDR (DDR ram is no more expensive) i'd recommend the DFI AK76. no onboard sound, good reviews, and solid AMD 760 NB. $107 at newegg.

depends on where you live, SDR is 1/3 cheaper still... like $48 vs. $70 for 256m (NOO that's not us $)
