I have a duron 800 unlocked, msi pro2a, 300w psu, and a hydraulic case, anyone have any recommendations for a water cooling system? I want it to be self contained, and low maintenance. I currently have a super orb and my temps are 40C when idle, and 45C when stressed. Thanks for your input.

You're better off getting a better heatsink instead of wasting money for water cooling systems... recent test shows that orbs may not be as good as people first though and you can probably get cooler with a better heatsink. If you do need faster speed, you might as well buy a faster processor instead of rigging something that'll take up half the room and noise from the pump... do you really wanna spill water by accident..

Look at overclockers.com They do a lot of water related reviews. But all you need to water cool is a water block I like dangerden waterblocks, radiator for self contained try cool computers for 92mm fan size or 2cooltek for 120mm fan size, you also going to need a water pump and container 2cooltek has this also or you can by a Rio from pet warehouse I use the 600, but most kits come with the Rio 180, you can get a container at a local hardware store or online at 2coolcomputer. 2coolcomputers and 2cooltek both sell complete kits that would fit you needs. If you use good hose and clamps there is almost 0 chance of a leak. Think about the last time you had a fuel or coolant leak in your car and they are under alot more pressure. I personal think the best thing about water cooling is getting rid of all of the fans I got 1 fan for the radiator and one in the power supply. My hard drive make more noise then my cooling system.

If you want some more help feel free to email me.

forcesho.have you ever watercooled before?it is not a waste of time or money.once everything is up and running it kicks the $hit out of orbs
or whatever the hell else you want to use.if done proper w.c. is an
excellent choice.you can o.c. higher and with cooler temperatures than
aircooling:cooler=more stability!also it is a 1 time expense.i have dfferent m.b.'s and cpu goin in all the time.here are some pics of my water setup

Yes, I know water cooler is like the best thing...I own a car and thats what they use to cool those nice engine block.. You have a really nice system there. You must have spend a lot of time. But you traded coolness for lots more fan and more pipes. But thats the trade off. Your system look like you spend a good quality of time customizing making sure it wont leak since most people use rubber tubing and you use high quality (like transmission cooler) radiator.

And you're right, almost everything kicks the crap out of orbs. But it is easier not to chase down the material to make a cool case like that.. Then again, if it's your hobbie, it's great.
