Suggestions for a laptop w/ docking station for around $1K

Looking for a recommendation for a laptop w/ docking station for around $1,000 - mostly to be used for internet & office apps - a little gaming. To be connected to an external monitor and keyboard most of the time (only need portability some times).

A laptop that has the option of a docking station usually costs over $1000 itself, not to mention a docking station is several hundred dollars.

If you want a setup to use at home and on the road for around a grand just get a $1000 laptop and plug/unplug peripherals to it.

i feel kind of bad promoting my own stuff, but I am getting ready to post a dell d610 to the for sale forum in a couple days, so keep an eye out or pm me (unless you had a new one in mind). i had it for college, but I am taking some time off and need the money, its a great system with a 14.1" screen and a cdrw, 2.0 ghz, 1 gig ram, and i have the monitor stand, docking station, SXGA (1400*1050) and a bag with it, look up some pictures and prices on ebay, I am looking to get about 1200 for the laptop and 100 for the stand and docking station, I also have a 2005fpw for $375. this stuff is about 3 months old, and i have the 3 year warranty with it.

there are no dead pixels, everything is in like new condition, i just need money to pay my parents back for tuition

Alternately, get a USB hub and external USB soundcard (about 20$ and 15$ respectively) and plug everything but the monitor in through the USB cable.
