Suggestions for a HDTV

I was so anxious to get cable HDTV but really haven't watched it since getting it because I only have 5 channels. The only time I do watch it is when I want (ed bc my TV is broken) to show off the hi-res PBS channel which looked amazing.

BTW, when I lived at my dad's for a short period, I was able to receive ALL of the local DTV broadcasts even after my antenna had been blown off a half-wall left as part of a barn in his backyard. It was even pointing about 60degrees away from where it should have been!

Yeah get the Samsung 931 DVD player. It's got a DVI out and upscales to 720p. Supposedly great for fixed pixel tvs like the DLP. Price has also come down alot too. It was $300 when it came out about 1 month ago. Now I've seen it around $230.

lol you must live in a really flat area then...there's no way that'd work in Denver

Not really flat but not mountainous!

The towers are about 20 miles (as the crow flies) from my dad's house and their bases are about 1100' of elevation and then they go up several hundred feet so there's good coverage here 🙂
