Suggestions for a copier? (copy machine)

I need to get a copier for work. Our current one is about 5 years old and is slowly giving up the ghost. It's a Canon PCxxx something or other and takes those $350 replacement cartridges (guts, actually) and that's just a hell of a lot of money, so since other things are going wrong with it and the toner's getting low, I thought I'd shop a new one.

I was once told about HP refurb copiers, but I can't even find where they make copiers. (?)

Any other suggestions?? Preferably something with low *long-term* costsif anyone has a good experience with one.

TIA

I'd say about 20 to 30 copies per day on average.

We only have a half-dozen people making a handful of copies per day.

At that level of use, almost anything would be fine. Lowest rated duty cycles I can remember seeing was 1,000 pages/month and many of the low end ones aren't even rated. Figure out a budget, if you want support/service, and go from there. Some good places to price them would the Office Depot/Staples websites...any of their small business models should do well for you. Spending less than $500 should be more than doable, could do even lower or bit higher...but based on your needs that should fit the bill.
