To all the wannbe mini-Mods, your posts do nothing but bump this thread back to the top of the list. Did any of you ever hear of a term called Private Message? News Flash: you can get the same result (ie pretending to be a mod) while at the same time you don't needlessly bump the thread. Cha-Ching! That's two for one, I just made my own hot deal!

It's a good idea but it would only work real well if everyone stuck to a convention of a word for a paricular item.

Since most deals are Computer hardware...

harddrive
videocard
cpu
atxcase
ddrram
motherboard
sdram
laptop
desktop
dvdburner
cdburner

et cetera

So if everyone would put the word for their item in the title it'd be kinda cool, as long as people agree on the convention of the words to use. Maybe sticky a list if someone makes a good one. (Mine is dumb)

Thanks for posting!

I've thought of this myself, since i usally just search "HD" and "hard drive" and figured i'm probly missing out.

(never posted in fear of the flaming-hell of the forum-nazi)

Dont worry too much bout the w(e)iners, they're helping bump this thread so it wont need a stickie

i like many others find AT's search engine very limited. i know it may be more cpu intensive, but the ability to search through threads instead of just the topic will make the search engine 100x more useful imho.

thanks.

i think it's like a million, instead of 100X. i don't know how hard it is to make it search threads, and still do it in good time, but i think if you index it it helps. dpreview forums allow you to search the contents of the threads
