Suggestion on a new router?

I want to get a much nicer router, I currently have sort of a crappy Belkin one or something. I just got faster internet and I think this thing's bottle necking me.

Also, if I name the new router the same as my current one, and set the password to be the same, will all my various devices still lock onto the signal just fine and is there any danger of creating nightmares for myself in doing that?

You should also change the core IP and DHCP range to be the same as an Old Router.

Money is Not an issue. Asus RT-N66U -RT-N66U

Best value for the price. Cisco E4200 refurb.

I want sub $100 and new (I am allergic to refurb.) Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300H

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833162047

All the above are Dual Radio, Giga Switch, and has USB port for NAS.

They are very good with their stock firmware but also can be flashed with DD-WRT in case that special additional features are needed.

I want less expensive good Wireless and Giga, but I do not care about Dual Radio and NAS.

Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH, currently $47 after Rebate.

I want to spend less and do not care about Giga, and NAS, but need good Wireless.

This is decent Wireless Router with Dual radio.

Cisco E2500 refurb. $35.

If your talking wireless I've had years of great success with the Buffalo line, had the one mentioned above for the couple years, just got the newer GZR-300HP last night and set it up as a AP in 5mins. Have a huge 2 story house and its solid coverage to every room.

If wired, I just got the TP Link DL-R860 8 port router setup a few days ago, rock solid and fast. Was $22 at Newegg last week

Thanks for that link, Jack. I'm contemplating buying three of those (for my WDS network setup in my apt.), and possibly one more for a spare.

It appears that v1.0 of that hardware supports DD-WRT, is there more than one version out there on the market?

Anyone use WDS on 5Ghz, while using 2.4Ghz for AP connections? Is that doable in DD-WRT? I assume that I could use the "Full" version of DD-WRT on those, because they have 8MB of flash. That would be a nice change, since I've been using DD-WRT "Mini" on my 4MB WNR2000v2 units.

Edit: Seems like there is only one hardware rev of the E2500.
