Suggestion for software to create hidden 3D images?

I'm looking for a software (preferably freeware) to create the images that looks like blurry picture, but will have 3D popup thing if you stare at it long enough...

Anyone has suggestions on what is good software for this?

Don't know of any free ones, there's a bunch of shareware ones though.
Just google for stereogram software.

You mean random dot sterograms? Simple actually. People were using these things as stimuli for visual experiements like 40 years ago. Just do a google for "generate random dot sterogram" (without the quotes of course). Found a 25 page paper titled Displaying 3D Images: Algorithms for Single Image Random Dot Stereograms.

Ah... didn't know it was called stereogram (or sterogram)? Otherwise i would've searched for it ...

Btw, blurredvision, that o.htm originates from this image puzzle
it was posted at at off topic

and somehow blurredvision fits just this sterograms that i am looking for .... ,p
