I've been using HyperSnap DX for ages but my captures are always mottled. Others that I see on the Web look so nice and clean.

How about some suggestions? Thanks.

OK, but I usually just capture a small portion of the screen, not the whole thing. My biggest problem is when capturing as a jpeg. They look crappy.

I find Imsi's Capture (Part of HiJaak Pro 5.X) to be a superstar. It gives you many options and choices including capture shapes of rectangles, squares, ovals, circles, stars, and custom. You can save to files, clipboard or other media in several formats to include GIF and JPG as well as BMP.

Thanks.

How about Snag It? I'm downloading it now.

I guess I'll know when I install it, eh?

Snag It failed the test.

HyperSnap is much easier to use and SnagIt produces no better results. Besides it's $40.

Off to research HiJaak Pro 5.x.

[edit] 295. Oh yeah, just what I need! (I'm kidding)

I really appreciate the help, guys.
