I want to buy a video card, but i dont want one of the super new ones that cost a billion dollars and lose their value. Do you have any suggestions for something around $60?

It's about as powerfull as the 8500, but cost a little less.

Actually, according to Anand's preview, the 9000 Pro is slightly better than halfway between the performance of the 7500 and the 8500. Its clocked at 270/275, whereas the 9000 is clocked at 250/200. That's quite a bit slower, so I would expect it to be only slightly faster than a 7500 in most games, making its only significant advantage over the 7500 be DX8/9 support. So if you're gonna make the jump to $74 from $60 for the 9000, then you may as well jump all the way to $87 and get an 8500LE (which is what I would do, if I were to buy a sub $100 card).

Actually, it's a good deal slower than the 8500 in most cases. Crazy Saint is right, it should be in between a 7500 and a 8500 performance-wise. However, the 7500 is a older generation Radeon GPU, and even the 9000 @ stock speeds should beat a 7500 at faster speeds quite handily...🙂

This is easy. Get a Radeon 7500 OEM from newegg.

I definitely agree with you.

Or you could buck up and buy the Radeon 8500 LE for $87 and just freakin own.
