Staying in Windsor, have 2 kids (4 and 10 month).

I will start planning pretty soon so I thought I would start a thread about things to do.

Our 4 year old is pretty curious about everything, but in particular likes trains planes and dinosaurs.

I like pubs. ;)

Thanks in advance!

I was stationed in London for over eight years.
For the kids: Lego land, windsor safari park, madame tussauds, and the natural history museum. For you: Hard Rock Cafe, a west end stage show, british museum, tower of london/tower bridge. Just walking around and seeing the sights that you've only ever seen before on TV is pretty cool. Big Ben/Houses of Parliment/ Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square. There are loads of things to do and see in London. If you can venture out of the city, there a bunch more stuff to recommend. Warrick Castle is awesome, but Stonehenge is a waste of time now ever since they surrounded it with chainlink fencing.
June and September are the best months of the year to visit, so your timing is perfect!

Be extremely careful with your kids at rail stations because there's usually no safety guardrail between the landing where you wait and the tracks. At some places express trains barrel past the landing at high speed with an air blast, a serious danger to children.

I second, third and fourth that. The tube trains arriving scare the crap out of me and I walk right next to the wall because I'm petrified of being shoved in a crowd and falling on the electric tracks.

Interesting...

Just stay behind the yellow line and you are fine.

I live near London and everything else has been said here.

You can check out Tottenham Court road for some nice technology stuff.

I love the Tube trains arriving. I usually try to stand near the rear of the length of the platform so the trains goes by me at the fastest speed. Of course I do get more soot blown into my head that way.
