Why are you spending $50 on a what, $1200 machine? Get a good PSU, not just a $50 one!!!!

Sorry, was that out loud. Fortron are excellent for the money. Don't skimp on the PSU.

I've discussed this with many people, and the PSU should be approxiamately 10% of the cost of your computer. If you start getting into the $4000+ machines, then I say the rule is roughtly that the PSU should cost 1/2 the case price.

All bogus advice!!!

Fortrons are good.....zippy and PC Power & Cooling are better!

OCZ PSU`s as well as Seasonic are inbetween!

Dude is you have a good quality system you don`t want to be spending $50 on a PSU....

Get yourelf a good quality PSU and you will enver have to worry about system problems or loosing a harddrive or a mobo due to a blown PSU!!

I wasn't dissing Fortron! Fortron's are good! I was saying that getting ANY PSU just because it is under $50, is crazy. The 10% is just something I've been theorizing... I prefer Seasonic, just because they are quiet...

That 450W Fortron will be more than enough for that system. But I would get more if I had to build. I would cut back on some other component, but not power supply. If I had the money, I would get the new Fortron Epsilon 600W for $137.

If you really only want to spend $50 on a PSU for a very nice looking machine then that's your loss. I do agree with the PSU listed above though, it's very nice for the price.
