I have an almost 4 year old son that loves chocolate milk, I usually buy the 8 ounce horizon brand; but it contains sugar. He usually drinks 6 ounces a day.
I'd like to make my own using grass fed milk + sugar free chocolate. Any recommendations?
This works but one should use full fat milk to get the cocoa to disperse better and to bring out the cocoa flavor. It will be more bitter than with added sugar. You do know that milk has sugar in it, right? You can add raw cocoa to milk and it's gonna have sugar.

lolThanks for the suggestions, I ordered some Organic Valley brand off amazon since it says no sugar added.
I will buy some cocoa powder and see how that works.
I don't trust the no sugar syrup, sounds too good to be true.
lol
Not sure if serious.
Wants sugar free chocolate, "doesn't trust" sugar free chocolate syrup.
Sometimes the best thing to do is put your hands in your pockets. Repeat after me, sugar is not evil. Carbs are not evil. Fat is not evil. Too much can be a problem. There is no magic percentage or, quantity that marks the "bad" point for adults or, children who have a completely different metabolic profile. If your child is not obese, eats a variety of foods and, gets plenty of exercise, stop worrying and keep your hands in your pockets.
There is nothing wrong woth wanting a better diet however, you have to know what that means. Simply cutting sugar doesnt do it. Don't get your feathers ruffled, I'm not targeting you. Also, this is the first time you've mentioned wanting to save money. There's nothing wrong with wanting a better diet for kids & adults. You make it seem like I or some parents are freaking out, we are not.
Sugar is not evil, nowhere in the OP is that mentioned. But if I can save some $$ & end up with less sugar in my sons drink by making my own coca powder+full fat milk; will have to try it and see if it tastes good though lol
Thanks for the constructive answers.

It's Friday and I'm stuck at work so, I'll rant if I want to.An unfocused rant is probably better suited by its own thread than one started by a member asking specifically about no sugar (or no added sugar) chocolate milk.
