then do MORE work.

ask them to provide more pictures of the interior, exterior, etc.. high res shots too, not crappy 800x600 shots.

if they refuse... don't go.

someone with nothing to hide will take pics galore to sell something.

Even that doesn't protect you from the blatant bait and switch. The real solution is to just not invest all that time/money into buying a car that's 500 miles away from you.

Now if you could turn that trip into some sort of mini vacation and kill two birds with one stone...

Buying used is a risk and its always buyer beware. Either pay the premium to buy the car locally or take a risk and fly out to see the car somewhere else.

What kind of car is this though that's so hard to find in your area?
