Hey Fred,

Seems like you are the new sleuth in the DC stuff. Have you recently retired or something? All the funny little bits and pieces seem to pop up with your name next to them. All I can say is thanks man. Great going.

Just joined. Second one on the team. What are the credits like?

Sorry for the thumbs down in the previous post - got mixed up with the selection...

Actually, I got the links from reelman who is not a member, but he sends these to me because I gave him the invitation code to Cosmology@Home thinking he would join the team.

However, he created his own team which currently has only him as a member.

I just finished PMing him about joining our team. He thinks that he is too small a producer to make any difference in a team. So, I've tried to convince him that he will be welcome.

I have been retired for seven years on a disability pension due to severe depression that limits my productivity on occasion. I was a systems analyst for 38 years, so it's natural that I would find something to do with computers that uses that experience but doesn't require a long attention span.

I just checked my Linux box to see how the crunching is going. I have 12 WUs that show 12.757% completion. I suspended C@H to see if I couldn't get these WUs moving. One just finished. The others show about 15-23 minutes CPU time with a to-completion estimate of 30-40 minutes.

I also checked the project and I am getting from 5-10 credits per WU. These are not production WUs so the credits will change when they start testing the client app.
(The WUs are old RCN WUs used to test the server processes.)

I had the same problem and set up Sudoku at 20% to fill in the dry spots.

It's now 12 hours since your post and both of my boxes have work. (I was alternating between Cosmology@Home and Sudoku; now, I have C@H at 80%)

If I was in direct control of more then just one PC and didn't already have a goal then I'd knock out some WU's. I like the games projects.

Still no WU's. I am running Windows. Any reason? The message in BOINC says:

17/09/2007 18:23:58|sudoku|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work

The only time I have seen that message, I rebooted, started BOINC, and let it sit. Within a couple of minutes, I had work. If you are running multiple projects, sometimes it thinks the other project is in panic mode.

PS: I haven't actually tried the Windows client, but I think I will try it now.

PPS: I just connected and received 50 WUs!

Fred,

Tried your suggestion, still nothing. I think you took the last WU's :D

Are you getting anything at all? I'm still chugging away (at 5% share.)

I would suggest a post on their forum about the problem. There could be some kind of work-around or script fix at their end.

Catch me if you can!

I have noticed on both Windows and Linux, that when you first attach to Project Sudoku that no WUs are down loaded when you have other projects crunching.

If you suspend the other projects, Sudoku will down load the WUs. From that point on, it will down load when completed WUs are acknowledged.
