I dont know about spikes.
I saw a guy with about 27 posts who joined in '99. I wish I were like him.
Know why he's not a noob? He spends more time listening and less time talking.
He probably knows a lot more than people who average 10-100 posts a day.

When I joined in 03 I made one post that was actually helpful to a person and then stopped for a whole year. Now I've got way too many.

This serves as encouragement to get rid of Off-Topic and Politics and News altogether. I came here to learn about computers dammit!!!

Its not number of posts, its time. You've been here for a month. So you think that makes you qualified to assess the "n00bness" on the thread and how it relates to the past?

Like I said, I've been here 5 months longer then you, but 6 months isn't long enough to truly assess how the n00b situation now relates to the n00b situation in the past.
