Well heres my setup
Sempron 3100+ CG revision
2x512 Twinmos Speedpremium UTT

Antec Sonata case with stock power supply
Initially when i bought my parts, i only had one stick of ram. I put everything together, put the mem on the 150 divider, cranked the fsb up to 267, vcore up to 1.65, and mem to 3.1 with 2-2-2-10 1T timings. Rock solid, primed for over 24 hours, memtest totally stable. The end result was a 2407 clock with mem running at exactly 200.
In comes a second stick of ram, i pop it in and do memtest and prime, didnt get to do it for too long though... only like 6 hours... but it was fine. Eventually however, i would get some really weird errors while playing games and windows would restart itself.
I do a reformat, but now when my cdr drive is plugged in, windows hangs on bootup, even when i set everything to stock. if i plug in a diff drive, its all fine but not with the cdr... this drive is like 1 year old... no problems ever. And i had reformatted and reinstalled windows with the cdr drive many many times with no problems, but now everytime i reformat and have the drive plugged in, windows hangs.
For a long time, i could not diagnois what the problem was with my computer... i suspected the drive, but i wasnt sure. im still not sure. windows is installed onto my comp via this drive as well. if it has been writing corruped info, im in big trouble i think. I just dont understand why all these errors are popping up.... even at stock settings. the memory tests fine... it feels like some piece of hardware is casuing some of my stuff to crap out but i cant isolate it. im sorry if this isnt all that clear but alot has happened. i'll add more later. any ideas?
