Sudden loss of network browsing

Well, here goes...

We have several computers that have been infected/hack by something.

All of the sudden, no computer can see the server via NetBios. No computer can see it.

No settings were changed and I don't have to long before I have to start rebuilding the machines, which will be a pain in the butt.

Does anyone know if there is a virus or hacking program that disables NetBios?
