sudden insomnia?

Alright, so it's not really insomnia, but I haven't slept more than 8 hours since I woke up Sunday morning! Usually in two and a half days I would have accumilated around 20 hours! At first I didn't think anyhting of it, my body was tired, but my mind wouldn't rest. I figured this was because I was taking my finals... Well, now school is officially over with, and I still can't sleep! I tried to go to sleep, I just stared at my ceiling for an hour! I tried to go work out and make myself tired, that didn't work! Warm milk, tylenol PM, NOTHING! I think I'm SOL for tonight, but I'm wondering if I should go see a doctor, or are there any good over the counter sleeping pills?


I think I'm just going to go lay down, take some more Tylenol PM's and pray for death...

You think thats bad? I had a full week when I couldnt sleep more than 3 hours straight. Usually 2. I was constantly tired, and I was on an 18 hour wake/sleep cycle, but I couldnt sleep more than 3 hours straight. My solution was to wait till Friday evening rolled around, and then drink most of a bottle of Jaeger. I got 8 straight hours after that, and I felt GREAT. No hangover. It was beautiful.

Oh course, I'm a college student, I can drink till I puke, drink some more, puke some more, black out, pass out and feel fine the morning after (not that I have since freshman year, but... I know I could still do it a year later). YMMV. But, IMO, alcohol works. Just dont drink till you have to get your stomach pumped. Enough to give you that "sleepy drunk" feeling works.

I guess when your tool box has a bottle of whisky in it, the solution to every problem is a bottle. Why do you care whether you sleep or not. I don't. I've got to get up and go go go in a few hours. So what if I'm mpt in bed. If I woried about it I wouldn't be able to sleep, but I'll be out like a lite in just a very few minutes, because I way down when i want to sleep, not when I think I should sleep.
