/I didn't see a guide stone, but I was driving by, saw the view by the pulloff, and turned around to take the pics.
 
That pic reminds me of a place we used to hang out at in high school. It's up towards Heavenly Valley Ski Area. It was at the end of a road and we called it "The RocK".
There are big granite boulders there and we'd sit on them and drink and smoke. It was beautiful at night with the town lights lit up.
