do explain. Why is In and Out so great?
It isn't. It's just extremely overhyped and overpriced. Like KrispyKreme and Quiznos.
-- mrcodedude

Overpriced? explain.

It is cheaper than Carls Jr., McDonalds, Burger King, Jack in the Box, etc etc. In N Out is cheaper than any other (franchise) place I've seen.

It's $1.65 for a cheeseburger at InNOut, it's $.99 at Burger King and $1.09 at McDonalds
It's $2.55 for a 2x2 at InNOut, it's $1.49 at Burger King and $.99 at McDonalds (currently a special on the double cheeseburger @ McDonalds).

I'm small and can barely eat a 2x2 or the Double Cheeseburger. But for some proof, next time I got to InNOut and BurgerKing, I'll weigh the burgers on my electronic scale.

It's cause you don't order em extra crispy. :D

And, Double Double, protein style with extra grilled onions owns me. Only burger place that I know of that'll wrap it in lettuce rather than use a bun.

Protein style??? Sounds like new hire initiation....

edit: I remember the Hardee's "pee in the pickle jar" new hire initiation, so protein sounds worse.

I have never heard of In & Out. The one thing that I love is Rally's (or Checkers if you are from the south).

We have Checkers in the NE - at least in downstate NY.
I prefer them to Burger King, McDs, Wendys, etc.

Please explain how are all their burgers are fresh never frozen ????
Let me explain something. All the beef are frozen at one point or another.
If they weren't, they wouldn't last very long.

Even if you were to order a burger from a full service restaurant, they beef were frozen at one point.
THe beef itself were frozen when they got them. They would ground the beef, they keep them cold till they are cooked.
Most restaurant will probably put the uncooked patties back in the freezer for the next day.

How in the world can a fast food restaurant not use frozen patties ??
Do they ground their beef every morning to use for the whole day and they discard the remains after the day ??
Even if they did that(which is impossible), the beef itself were still frozen in its original state.

Do you East Coaster's have Dell Taco or Tommy's Hamburgers?

Tommy's make awesome chili burgers! They dump a bunch of chili and pickles.... they have lines around the store at midnight on the weekends!
