Such thing as a Flat Panel Gaming monitor???

There is a rumor going around that Sony is comming out with a new LCD Flat Panel designed specificly for gaming? IS this true?

Anything with a fast pixel response would work well for gaming.

Dell has a 20" LCD, the 2000fp, with a 25ms response time, for $1599. I'm currently saving my pennies for one.
