Subwoofer too loud?

I've been wondering this myself- my brother let me borrow his 2.1 system over the summer, and I'm wondering if the bass is too loud at night. I might stick the woofer on something dampening.

Almost every neighborhood has a disturbance of peace clause somewhere in their ordinance.

Which means anything that disturbs the tranquility of the neighborhood is not allowed. People have a right to rest in their homes peacefully.

Turning you subwoffer all the way up in an apartment is disturbing the peace, you have the right to enjoy life, but your right cannot infringe on other's right to enjoy their home in a peaceful environment.

B4+, K2, BFD here. Would definitely not have it in an apartment though.
 
Using a couple of concrete garden stones stacked upon each other will help dampend the acoustic coupling caused by your subwoofer.

apex has the B-4 Plus in rosewood 😀rool;
 
get a small rubermaid containter and set it on top of that.

Most apartments have a policy that no speakers can be set on the floor, they must be on a stand of some sort.
