You know it's getting loud when you look at a window that's 1/2" thick fire tempered glass and you can see a reflection of a light moving like some invisible ogre is pounding relentlessly on it. :Q

Awww, you warm my heart. I have two Cornwalls as my mains and two Heresy's as surrounds. But, let me say that I might not choose these exact speakers today with most of my music listening coming from CDs. Back when I bought them LPs was where it was at. In fact adding a sub to my system was done to add some warmth to the system.


Getting back to the OP, I couldn't agree more with vi_edit's post. People are enamored with their sounds backing up their visual stimuli. Most people are not taken with all the subtleties of a well balanced system. People don't want their sound systems to paint a picture in their mind. They want loud without distortion.

Most people do not even want to try to discern separation of sounds from 90Hz to 500Hz that give such a definition to the sound stage.
