I think it's a test item so may not be available everywhere. Thought about trying one today but was curious if anyone has had one to offer up some feedback.

Had one... it was alright.

Nothing to write home about though.

On the plus side... you can top it anyway you want... with any of the items they use for sandwhiches. (At least at the one I was at when we tried the pizza)

Edit:

A tip I thought I'd share...

If you get one of the sandwhiches they put garlic butter on... have them put the garlic butter on, toast it, put sandwhich stuff on, toast it, then top it with the cold toppings (if desired).

So much better on toasted garlic bread. :)

This is the only time I tip at Subway... cause I know they're only supposed to toast it once.

Is it actually Subway selling pizza, or is it a pizza place inside a Subway? I woked at a Subway in college that had a Mama Ilardo's inside it (which was essentiailly a pizza oven and a display case). It was all one store though, one line, one cash register, etc. The pizza was alright when it was fresh, especially the thin crust.

New pizza? I remember these things a long time ago. Never had one, though they sound pretty good. I dont see many people get them, but its cool you can get them topped with whatever they have for their subs.

Subway owns. I've went there a ton for lunch in the past few months. The other day the cute cashier girl was like "So a Steak today?" and actually I didnt have one that time.

The Subways around here have been serving pizza for months, at least... maybe even a full year. Pretty decent, but not nearly as good as Schlotzsky's.

Yeah, this is actually Subway just trying out a new menu item in certain markets. From what I've been told, it's basically an 8" personal pan pizza in either pepperoni or sausage. And then you just have them toss on whatever veggie toppings you want before they toss it in the oven. Not sure how long they'll keep it on the menu or if it will go mainstream. Guess that depends on how well it sells and the feedback.

I really like some of the things at Subway but they also offer a lot of things that I don't care for in the least. I usually just get the turkey/ham whole wheat sub when I go and load it up with toppings. But the pizza on the commercials looks pretty yummy.

Edited to note: If you haven't already, try getting the chipotle sauce on your sub. That stuff is incredible and I always have them put extra of it on mine. It's a good way of cutting out the mayo and using something other than the spicy mustard. Definitely the best condiment they offer.

They aren't very good.... They pull the crust out of a freezer, unwrap it (factory wrappings, not made fresh locally and then packaged). It already has cheese and sauce on it. They put whatever toppings you want on it and maybe a bit more cheese, then put it into some sort of super microwave that cooks it in about 30-60 seconds. I thought it tasted like gas station pizza - I got it that once and won't be getting it again. Cost was about $4.00 - $4.50. (Madison, WI)
