Agreed.

Tubby's steak and cheese subs are better.

But Joey's Cheesesteaks are the best. (at least in my part of town)

steak at subway is awful...i tried it as well expecting somethign "different" and was greated by the same unpleasent surprize

I do want to try the pastrami still however

Good thread! Who's got the best Cheesesteaks? Who's got the best subs?

I like Quiznos and I think they forced Subway to get those toaster ovens, 'cause toasty is better! I don't know if they're the best though, I've had some good subs elsewhere. I've heard good things about Jason's Deli, yall have that around you? I'm in the deep, dirty South, and we eat good!

Sonic's new Philly Cheesesteak looks far worse than Subway's steak and cheese offering.

I'm not an expert on the Philly sandwiches, but a cheesesteak with a regular hotdog bun? WTF!

that said I would never ever try a steak and cheese sub from Subway.

I liked just about every sub I've had at Subway. I got TONS of steak and cheese for months while I had lunch break on my co-op. Certainly not a quality steak and cheese, but I was addicted to the damn things (plus on Tuesdays was the $2.79 6" steak and cheese). Quiznos is BS, so damn much $ for how it tastes, which usually isn't better than most Subway subs IMO.

I agree it sucks. i wanted to try it and was very disappointed.

i will stick with the spicy Italian or the southwestern chicken.
