I was in one of those subway trains near Shinjuku once during a morning rush hour and this short girl had her elbow(not her fault) pushed in towards my"jewels" slightly. I just kept my mouth shut and can tell that the young thing was highly embarassed. Gomen Nasai or Sumimasen she kept sputtering...

Why you so shocked.?
Expect to see more of this and in the U.S. too as more and more people can no longer run a car.

Pretty standard for Japan, at least the parts I have visited (mostly around Tokyo). I'm glad I never had to ride the subway during the peak hours, but I saw the subway stuffers quite often.

Yeah, we don't need no white-gloved assistants to politely cram us into a car like that, we can push ourselves in!

Yeah, this certainly isn't uncommon for peak hours in Japan. It is so amusing when you get lost in a Tokyo subway station. 😕

It could be the last train of the night...if you don't get on the train, you're stuck where you are, or stuck paying ridiculoulsy high cab fares...

i was stuck on the last train of the night once while i was there...it was nuts

That's actually the opening scene for a new style of Japanese porn.

They gots some craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy fetishes.

what i think is hilarious is they don't just tell those people, "there's no more room, can you please wait for the next train?" they just get three guys and starting cramming them in there! 😀

Because the next train is most likely going to be full too.

Its similar in other major cities around the world during rush hour (NYC, Boston and Moscow I know first hand) but without the packers.

If their packed in that close I don't know how japan has a problem with their population decreasing.

Same joke about india...so crowded can't take two steps without being inside someone.
