My wife tried the new oven toasted Subway last night, what a joke.

Tryin to jump on the Quizno bandwagon eh... oh well at least they give us the option now.

Yep, Subway probably sees a real threat from Quizno's as they should.

The local neighborhood Quizno's shop is usually busy but Subway's are usually dead.

Your wife might have just gotten a bad sub. What I usually do, is I tell them to bake it for only 20 seconds rather than the full 30 seconds. Makes a big difference. Quiznos up here in Maryland is just way too damn expensive. A regular veggie sub is $7.49. Anything with meat is higher than that.
In Virginia, the prices were better. That's one thing where Quizno's can't beat Subway. The prices.

and .75 for cheese??? WTF ever.

They also HATE it if you get anything but their pre selected subs... as an example: I can't get like turkey, roast beef and lettuce with swiss... cause it's like $9. however, if I get a "roasted turkey beef classic" with pepper jack it's only $7.50... even though they are the SAME thing

the whole thing is a sham. They make good subs, but $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I quit eating at subway after the local one hired a rather obese woman with a beard, and her redneck ass husband sat in the resturant waiting for her to get off work with his bare feet proped up on one of the tables...

I had an "oven roasted" sub the other day, and I'm guessing they just microwaved like someone mentioned above. Someone else ordered and picked it up for me, so I can't verify, but it seemed like the bread was just dried out and not toasted. Definitely nowhere near as good as a real Quizno's toasted sub, which are delicious. If only we had one in my town.

An example of how expensive Quiznos is up here.

$7.49 for my wife's sandwhich (Regular veggie sub)
$8.49 for my sandwhich (the Italian one)
$2.00 to make mine a meal
-------
$17.98 plus tax

We said screw that crap and went to Ramanos instead

$6.99 Fettecini Alfredo (wife's dish)
$7.99 Chicken Marsala (my dish)
$0.00 All the free awesome appetizer bread we want with olive oil and vinegar
$1.50 my drink
-------
$16.48 + tax + tip for a meal that is 2349230492304239402394 times better than quiznos 🙂

Thanks for the suggestion and I think you're right. The only major gripe is the bread towards the end was ROCK HARD. After it gets heated then rapidly cools down it turns rock hard.

If we get another "oven toasted" sub from Subway we'll request 20 sec instead of 30.

Doesn?t this have to do with the kid that gets paid 5.15 and hour at subway, whose thread has disappeared?

that was my thread... that was a parody of this thread.

when did mods start deleting threads altogether rather than just locking them??

ohhh i though this one was a parody of yours.

but true mods sometimes just delete items out, they done that to three of my posts in the past and they were popular also.
