Subway Healthy?

In general, yes....but a foot-long, double meat meatball sub with extra cheese may not be very far away from a Big Mac.

Definitely more healthy than a big mac, but a footlong w/ cheese and mayo still has lots of calories and fat.

Edit: Just saw what you ordered, that meat is pretty fatty too.

More healthy than a big mac meal, pretty much for any sub.

However, subway is not healthy. The bread is highly processed. It has a high GI, meaning it's closer to nature as sugar to your body. This means rapid digestion, leaving you with body fat and hunger.

It's also loaded with sodium.

Well, you can laugh as you stand over his grave after he dies from chronic heart disease.

Just kidding. Yeah it depends on what you got. If you get salad dressing, bacon, cheese, mayo, and a bunch of other stuff then its not going to be more healthy (especially if you get a footlong loaded with all of that).

If you get say the turkey breast with light mayo you'll end up with less calories and less fat than a Big Mac (and thats if you got the foot long).

haha, i am actually eating a footlong spicy italian right now... just hold off the mayo and dressing, it should be much much healthier than other kind of fast food.

wait a sec... that doesn't sound right 😕

Subway.

[*]The 6" Italian BMT has a bit less fat and calories. But that is without the mayo. If you had mayo, the Big Mac has fewer calories and less fat.
[*]The Italian BMT has way more sodium. This only matters if you have high blood pressure. Otherwise, eat as much sodium as you want.
[*]Protein and fiber are about the same.

Conclusion: its a wash.

does this apply to all the bread they have? or is the wheat bread better?

today i got Italian BMT, with no cheese, olives, veg, everything, no meatballs, and just a bit of mayo. It was a footl ong and I felt horrid after it.

My freind had a big mac, double cheese burger and fries.

He had a 12", so double those BMT figures.

I'm guessing wheat and oat are better, but they're still processed. Whole grain bread isn't so mushy and uniform in color/texture.

But at least it tastes better.😛

But seriously, avoid the mayo(I can't stand the stuff anyhow), and you're going to come out at something less than a Big Mac.

Of course this also doesn't include whatever size fries his friend got.
Add 350 calories for medium fries, 520 for large.
Also consider that more calories is not necessarily bad, just so long as you do something with them.

Still looks like I took aload of crap onboard. Your allowed about 1800 calories per day, I usually miss it, but today I think I maxed that !
