how are the response times on the welfare servers? if they're as slow as they used to be I won't bother with AT anymore.
 
I thought that the subscriber forums were supposed to support all forums. I take it that didn't work out to well? I hope this isn't a omen of worse things to come.

I read it through two times, but I didn't see anything in the linked thread that said subscriber service is going away.
 
What we need to know is, "why?" Subscriptions seemed like a great service and almost by default profitable. Hopefully it will stay somehow (not a subscriber, but sympathetic).

You didn't look very hard...

I believe an official announcement is coming soon regarding subscription services, which will announce the discontinuation of the service. Existing subscribers will still have access to the subscriber servers until their subscription is up.

I don't know any further details on that.

Thank God for Mozilla and its Block Images from this Server image combined with ZoneAlarm's ad blocking feature. Still, wtf. Pisses me off.

Pretty good actually.... much much better than before.... it's now pretty fast no matter what time of day it is...
 
Dang that sucks. I definately won't be around much if the speed of the forums decreases from what I currently have now. I think Anand will actually lose a lot of customer base. I wonder if the forums is closing shop anytime soon. Doomsday is near. I would be willing to open another forum just for us LOL yeah right.

But won't the extra load from the former-subscriber people just take it back down to where it was? I imagine a good number of people subscribed, and when they all run out, it could end up slowing up like before.
