What may have happen? This is what I think and I may be wrong. The company that wanted the side ads force Anand to use them. However I think something went wrong with Anandtech and the ad company. Maybe the ad company said "hey either you make it where everyone sees that side add or we pull the ads from your site and you lose income." You notice the side bar is now gone and has been for almost a month now. Makes you wonder what happen. I like to think it's the above but who knows.

I my self never payed for the forums cause: A) would not take money orders "what are you picky freaks it's money money orders or not" B) the standard servers are fast enought. C) I find a lot of ppl on this forums and the mods to be rude. D) There are much better forums out there. I guess the list can go on, and on, and on but oh well.

I will say if they start filling these forums up with ads then I see Anand and his company as sell outs and leave and won't ever come back. I've already took 2 tech sites and there forums off my bookmarks dun think I won't delete my account and do it for this one.

My new conspiracy theory:

AnandTech is going to eliminate the forums, switch bulletin boards systems or something else drastic.

I'd go with "switch bulletin board systems." If money is an issue, maybe they want to migrate away from fusetalk. It doesn't seem like the most efficient application. That might explain why a.) they've stopped upgrading fusetalk b.) they've disabled part of the application and c.) it's taking so long.

That is all for now...new conspiracies to follow as I think of them.

I still see the ads on th top. For some reason, I dont see the ones on the side anymore either. Oddly enough, Im sad to see them go.

I sure hope they change from fusetalk as it's slow and ugly with no themes. I dun mind some ads I don't mind the one on the side but if they place ads in post, theads, or any where else I'm going to say freak it.
