Subscriber questions

After reading aphexII's OT thread, it got me thinking (I know, it's hazardous to my health but if I don't use it I'll lose it).

1) On November 1, 2001 I signed up for a 1 year subscription for $30 which expires November 2, 2002. Am I able to add a few more years to that subscription today -or- do I need to wait until the subscription expires then renew?

2) What's the maximum number of years you can renew for? 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 30, etc.?

I *think* that you have to wait until it runs out before you can re-subscribe (others more knowledgeable please correct me if I'm wrong).

I *think* you might be right, anyone else care to confirm?

I agree.

*CONFIRMED*
You cannot sign up for concurent subscriptions you must wait for one to expire to sign up for the next one.

Do they send a reminder email, or do you find out when you're load times are "peasant-like"? 🙂 I know you can "View my subscription information", but do we get a reminder?

Zuni mentioned that they were working on it, but I don't know if it has been implemented yet.

Subscribing for more than one year doesn't make sense for another reason: If you get banned, or decide to leave for any other reason, "The subscription fee is non-refundable...", so it's actually in your best interest to just sign up again when the time comes, and not potentially lose a whole bunch of money. 😉
