Submit PDF forms electronically?

I'm not really sure if I'm phrasing this correctly, but I've been unable to find anything searching.

I want to create fillable pdf forms and host them on my site. Whoever downloads the pdf can fill it and hit a button on the form to submit the form.

How can I capture/transfer the submitted data? What software do I have to host on my server to capture it? I was looking around on Adobe's site but wasn't able to find a clear answer. If anyone has experience with this, I would really appreciate the help!

Thanks

Since the whole purpose of a PDF is to create a document that can not be edited, your plan is kind of taking that concept in the wrong direction. You may be able to do something with fillable forms in Acrobat though???.

It is certainly possible and I'm sure there are sound reasons for doing it (most likely security related). Over here, secure PDFs are used to electronically submit our tax returns.
I am unsure how you would implement it though.

Adobe LiveCycle does this, but it's probably way outside your price range.

lol this was the only product Adobe offered that mentioned what I think I want, but I didn't find a price on their site! that probably explains it.
