Given that Subaru has the history of superior AWD I would go with Subie.

Also I like Subie and they're much more interesting to me than Honda so...

I'm a Subaru fanboy, but I don't think you would go wrong with either one. I'd look at what's more comfortable or practical for your day to day use. Test drive them both and pick what you like better.

Wow wtf is with that back end. it looks like it got stepped on.

edit: also if you go with subaru and you have some time to purchase I recommend going through the Subaru VIP program to get in on 2% under invoice pricing no questions asked.

We ended up picking up a Subaru Outback 2.5i Premium with all weather package and some other options. Liking it so far. We actually got 5% off invoice, because 3 dealers had the same car, I just kept emailing around until I got a price that other two refused to match. According to TrueCar, I got $500 off "dealer cost." :D
