I am sure it's important to get them replaced if there is something wrong with them, but the 60K mile spark plug change sounds like the 3K mile oil change to me.

Nope. Tighter gap, higher pressure, higher temperature, higher ignition demands, and usually copper plugs that don't last much past 10k-20k miles

Is that true for all turbo cars? I had my NA cars for 100K+ miles without changing plugs (NGK platinums)
