Sub-Forums loading slowly/hanging on Firefox

I'm not sure if this is on my end or not, but I seem to be having some issues with loading up any sub-forum. I've noticed this for about a week now.

For example, if I try to open up ATOT, it just hangs there for 5+ seconds before it actually loads the threads. It'll just say "waiting for forums.anandtech.com..." for a few seconds, and then it loads.

However, if I click on an individual thread, it'll load much more quickly.

I've done the following:

1. Reboot comp
2. Reboot router/modem
3. Clear cookies
4. Flush DNS
5. Scanned for virus/mal-ware (clean)

Any ideas what's going on?

This happens on my home desktop/laptop. I've also noticed it some (but to a lesser degree) on my work laptop at work. At home I'm on TWC and at work, I think it's Verizon fiber.

Tried on both Firefox and IE, same issue.

Thanks.

Update 7/26/2013:

Seems to be even worse today. Any sub-forum will take 1+ minute to load (going to ATOT, PC Gaming Console Gaming, Hot Deals, etc). Once the page does load, opening a thread only takes a few seconds. Happening on Firefox and IE.

It's taking a long time to load pages this morning, but I wasn't having problems before.

I'm at work right now on my work laptop.

forums.anandtech.com will load in about 2 seconds. But if i click on ATOT, PC Gaming, or any sub-forum, it won't load at all right now.

I was able to pull up this thread via subscribed thread in the user cp.

It literally took over a minute to load ATOT just now. Is there a script or something that's preventing this from loading?

Been happening for 2 days now, let me guess, its the nef threads fault?

It does the same for any sub forum you choose, at least when it slows down for me. Also just got a vbulletin default "database error" page. Using Chrome.

Running much better now, amazing when you clean up the coffee you spilled on the server.

I know the tech guys are looking into it. Beyond that we don't have any additional information as to what's going on at this time.

Appreciate the post. It's definitely responding faster than earlier today, though still seems to hang some. Definitely way better than before though. I can live with this for now :)

Don't worry, I fixed it, should run as fast as diarrhea after eating at Taco Bell.

Still really slow for me this morning, I can load 3-4 sub-forums in Chrome in the time it takes to do one in Firefox.

Bad for me as well. I tried loading in IE and FF, and honestly the slowness was about the same.
