my wireless router was like. .. reassigning anything wireless with a new ip..

i read somewhere about setting an ip for the machine will make that not happen (not use dhcp)

so.. i can do that on the workstation side.. but is there anything i need to do with my router, to make it allow for like
192.168.1.101

Sorry...that was me. I was outside trying to check my email and just generall fvcking around with ya!

😛

if your DHCP range starts at 192.168.1.100 and assigns IP address up from there you can just set your static IP to say 192.168.1.200 (or near the end of your range). That way you won't have conflicts with the DHCP server assigned IPs. Unless you have more than 100 clients that is.

grr.. okay instead of dhcp its set for
ip 192.168.1.200
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1 (router)

and still no luck.. is there anything i need to do with the router to tell it to accept that .200 ip?
