stupid UPS died

I come home from school today after OCing my computer a bit. I saw no LEDs on so i thought maybe it went to standby. Nothing could rouse it from its sleep of the damned. Then I thought perhaps I burned it up with the OC until I looked at my UPS and saw the No Battery LED blinking at me in a taunting fashion. For some inherently evil reason, this UPS was designed so that when the battery died, you can't use it as a surge protector. Of course, this had to happen when there are no hot deals on UPS alive.

(saying UPSes is stupid like saying ATM machine right?)

The lesson is: don't OC.

That is a stupid lesson. The lesson is All UPS are destined to fail and it will happen when there are no hot deals.
