How the heck do i type the letter a with those two little dots above it?

oh, and before you ask me how i typed it in the 1st place to ask this question, i didn't i copied and pasted it cuz i'm too tupid' ti figure out how to type it like that, thats why i'm asking here... 😉

To someone of my age, the answer is:

Use your typewriter to type the letter a
roll the carriage up slightly
slide the paper back so that it is aligned properly
hold the carriage so that it doesn't move a full space
type two .'s
realign the paper

That's if your electric typewriter doesn't have that character on it.

Or, you just take your pen and make two dots on the paper after you've typed it.
