Last week my prof decides he's going to give us a take-home midterm on 11/24 to be turned in on 11/29. Fine by me since I'm totally unprepared for the midterm. Prof wants to had out the midterms between 3-5pm on Wednesday (which is a day class doesn't meet). I can't make that time so I make arrangements with said prof to have the test e-mailed to me at that time. Fine I think. Thursday morning; no e-mail:| I frantically find a classmate's e-mail addy to ask him to scan the test for me. I also e-mail the prof (who is on travel over the weekend but claims he'll respond to e-mails before Sunday).Its now Saturday. I finally get the scanned test at 1pm today. Still haven't heard from the prof. Already sent him e-mail stating my displeasure. Ugh, what a pain. There's no way I should have to turn in this test Monday since I'll only have 1.5 days to work on while everyone else had 4. I should have known better then to take this prof but damnit I want to graduate soon! Its already my 5th year.

Cliff's notes:
Prof says he'll e-mail me take home midterm
Prof never e-mails it
I get test from a classmate 2.5 days after it was officially handed out

UPDATE: I get an e-mail today, 11/28, at 12:22 am from said prof stating, " I trust that you received the midterm and that you are in the process of completing it." WTF is that???:|:|:|
 
Why did you wait until today to get the test from a friend? Also you can call the prof's office or stop by office hours. GL on your test hopefully the prof is understanding, a lot of them are. I have a test 8AM monday morning, WHY it was scheduled for then I have no clue but it was!
 
who the hell schedules something like that the evening before thanksgiving? does he not realize that people go home for thanksgiving?

Everyone else was eating turkey and pumpkin pie, not spending 4 days straight trying to make up for slacking.

Why couldn't you start reviewing the class materials 2.5 days ago, so you'd be prepared by the time you got the test?

Meh, why not see if you can get it done before you ask for an extension? It's not going to kill you, and if you get it done the crisis will be averted with no need to piss off the prof.

prof=jackoff hence I should have kept avoiding taking his class.

And I asked for a copy of the midterm Thursday from my classmate. He just didn't get it to me until today.
