Stupid Socket 754...

Dammit. This is reaching levels of manufacturer neglect, when there simply are no Socket 754 A64 Mobos with PCI-E. They even have a chipset to use.

Isn't that like a hardware geek's recurring bad dream? They get a hot new video card at a great price and can't use it. There should be an official phobia diagnosis.

Athlon 64 PCIe boards have only been out for a month ... give them some time. They release the newest and greatest thing (pcie in this case) for the high end parts first (s939) then work their way down to the lower end parts (s754).

I feel your pain, all I can say is wait with patience. A few months ago every one wanted a nforce 4 s939. Now they're out. Us Socket 754 owners got the short end of the stick.

That motherboard is not available yet, AFAIK.

Anyway, there's information on the web about the ASUS K8N4-E, EPoX nForce4 Ultra (name?), Chaintech MK8T890, the ECS mentioned and other boards.

I keep reading preview of these boards but all it does it make me want one more. I don't care what chipset it uses as long as it has PCI-E. First company to release it in America gets my money!
