Stupid question

I have a Linksys router and I was wondering if I could plug in a wireless router to that. I have two desktops that are hard wired and my wife just got a wireless laptop.

My guess is it would work ok, but wanted to double check...

You can as long as you configure it asa switch with an Access Point.

What you actually want is just a Wireless Access Point (WAP), not a Wireless Router. Plug that into one of the LAN ports on the back of your router and you should be good.

There are ways to configure a Wireless Router to function like a WAP, but in your case I would just buy a WAP.

Wow, that really was a dumb question, I didnt realize that the wireless modem had wired ports on it too...
