Stupid question - what is sync vs. async memory setting on DS3?

Man Gigabyte words everything in their bioses so confusingly.

Not sure what that settings would do, but there are many DS3 users here, so i imagine the answer will arrive soon.

If not, xtremesystems.org/forums should.

They have asynch memory settings? Dividers, methinks. synch means the ram and fsb are the same frequencey, as for async where they can be changed independant of eachother..

i really hope it can do async. this is the board is on the top of my "want to buy" list

The DS3 can't be run async. Well, it can, if you're wanting to run your memory faster than the fsb, just not slower. 1:1 is as slow as the memory will run.
