Stupid question of the day

Can you donate half of an organ? I'm not talking about a heart since that obviously would not work. Although I wonder if certain organs like the liver and pancreas could be 'donated' while the donor is still able to live. Would the same apply to a lung in that it could be made into two smaller lungs with some creative surgery? I know you can live with one kidney and I had an great grandfather that had half of one of his lungs removed surgically.

Forgive me for the stupid questions that pop into my head.

Pretty sure the surgeon will just murder your ass and take all your organs and sell it to the highest bidder.

You can donate part of your liver it will grow back. You can live on 1 kidney. That's all I know. I doubt you can donate a testicle I image that it would continue to make your dna. But I'm pretty sure you can live with just one or even no testicle.
