Just one of those stupid questions ive been wanting to know for awhile now. :D

Lets say you're in safe mode with no mouse, i know how to alt, tab etc.. to get around with no mouse.

But i never could figure out how to "right click" with the keyboard. LOL

For example, if i have MY COMPUTER highlighted, how do I "right click" on it to get the menu to come up so i can select properties?

The ALT key is beside(right side) the windows key on my keyboard.

When Im on the start menu in WinXp and i have MY COMPUTER highlighted, when i hit the ALT key, it just closes the start menu.

So im not sure thats the right key.

If you do not have the Windows Menu key, hit Shift-F10 for its equivalent.

Isn't there a site that has a ton of different keyboard shortcuts?

Something to show the Registered mark and all that good stuff..

:D

Thanks

If you DO have a windows key, you can simply press your winkey+break to open system properties. No need to right click 'my computer' and select properties :)

Don't know of a site but if you use the character map it tells what the keystroke is if available.

Sweet, I love learning small things like this because eventually they add up and it helps impress people when I'm doing something on the computer for them, so then they call me back whenever they need me again. :)
